....that hundreds of years ago our Kuvaszes had the same lively temperament and especially the same deviousness? The famous Hungarian ethnographer, Ottó Herman (1835-1914) has collected these sayings among shepherds:
1. "Which Kuvasz swim the Danube once, certainly will swim it again..."
2. "He thinks up something like the Kuvasz inside ring-fence... (he solves a problem in a tight squeeze)."
3. "Kuvasz is laying on hay, can't eat it, but growls against the bullock..."
